Google Assistant is coming to all Android 6.0 phones

If you’re a tech enthusiast like many, you’ve probably heard about Google’s groundbreaking Pixel phones and the Google Assistant AI that comes preinstalled on those devices. There are ways to install Google Assistant on your non-pixel android 6.0+ devices, but that’s not what this post is about.Earlier, Google released a post on their blog about how they’re partnering with LG to make the Google Assistant available for more consumers, beginning with the LG G6 that was recently released. Also in that post, Google said they’d go further by making the assistant readily available to android 6.0+ phones, meaning if you’re running Android Marshmallow or anything newer, you’ll probably see the “Hi, I’m your Google Assistant” page soon.

The assistant of course is Google’s answer to Siri and the less important Cortana. Through machine learning, it is able to practically have “smart” conversations with you, using context from previously asked questions.

Do let me know in the comments if you want a more in-depth post on the Google Assistant or LG’s latest flagship, the G6. Till next time, AdiĆ³s!
